Founded by loving wife and passionate chef, Cecilia Moy, Daddy Moy™ was established in memory of her late husband, Michael Moy.

The concept came to light in early 2009 after some thoughtful discussions with friends about how some people with food allergies were restricted to a limited diet which prevented them from eating normally. A close friend described how miserable they were after being diagnosed with celiac disease and could no longer enjoy basic everyday foods that we often take for granted, especially with the limited amount of gluten-free food currently available on the market which has often been described as dry, gritty, bland and tasteless. These thoughts brought back memories of her late husband who fought a tough battle against bowel cancer which crippled his diet and limited his eating abilities.

     
                 
         
     


As a creative chef with vast experience in the culinary field, Cecilia thought about her friend's situation and felt that people with sicknesses shouldn't have to suffer in this way. She thought it was unfair that anyone should be deprived from enjoying tasty food. After the experiences of watching her husband not being able to eat and sympathizing with those who can no longer enjoy a simple meal like bread, she wanted to help and make a difference by putting the joy of eating back into their lives.
